re.commend: Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer

Reflecting on my recent foray into Soap and Glory cosmetics, I remembered suddenly that I've actually bought from this line before! A much loved concealer palette-come-compact has been tucked away in my handbag's mini-makeup bag for quite some months.

The compact contains one yellow-toned concealer for blemishes and one pink-toned corrector for under the eyes. These can be mixed to depending on what you want to disguise. The compact also contains a translucent setting powder and mini puff. I find both the concealer and corrector to give a good amount of coverage, and their lasting power is acceptable once set with some of the powder.

re.view Soap and Glory Cheekmate

Hi everyone!

I'm surprise from Soap and Glory that this product isn't called 'What cheek!', although Cheekmate is a rather nice pun in itself.

I bought this as part of a Boots 3-for-2 deal on Soap and Glory cosmetics. I'd been waiting for a good offer on these for quite some time as it's taken me a while to come round to the idea that £8-£10 for one product is worth my hard earned cash. I now am happy to spend this providing that the thing gets the job done right.

re.create: Clay face mask

Hi everyone!

A re.create for you this time with a clay-based face mask. I was looking at the back of my Simple Deep Cleansing Face Mask a while ago and notice that I owned a lot of the ingredients already just from other parts of my skincare routine and from making my own mineral foundation (re.create coming soon!). After looking into the ingredients of a few more of the high-end face masks available I decided to look at my store of ingredients and create a face mask perfectly adapted for my needs!

re.view: Soap and Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick

Let me just start of by saying that I LOVE these - seems funny to start of a blog with such a straight forward review but I bought these beauties recently after reading a lot about them and they are simply fantastic.

Now, 'fantastic' is always relative of course to what you expect and want from the thing. So:

Is: Sheer, tinted and glossy balm in twist up pencil form
Isn't: Super pigmented stain, matte or dramatic

Welcome to this blog!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my new blog - beautiful re.creations - ! I'll keep this short, but just to introduce what this blog is all about and what you can expect from it.

I started this blog as I love to read beauty blogs myself and find them really helpful in deciding whether or not to purchase a product. I've always been quite careful about where I put my pounds and so I like to really make sure that I'm going to get a product that's good quality and that will last me a long time.

But I also like to understand why a product is good as compared to all the other products out there! What ingredients make the product unique? If it's a high-end product, is it worth the price?

...and what if it isn't...? I remember first coming across the ingredients list of a body scrub and thinking - wait a second - I can buy all of these things and make this myself! Sure, sometime I still like to splash out on a wonderfully fragrant concoction all elegantly packaged up to indulge in on the weekend, but there is also a real pleasure in creating something yourself.

I've enjoyed this and I thought it was about time that I started to share some of my thoughts on products that can be 're.created' at home, and reviews of those that are worth your hard earned cash.
So, I hope you'll enjoy this blog and I look forward to hearing your thoughts in the comments!
